Who Do You Write Like?

I found this little tool somewhere and thought I would try it out on myself. You can view my results below. Pretty cool!

Check which famous writer you write like with this statistical analysis tool, which analyzes your word choice and writing style and compares them with those of the famous writers.
Any text in English will do: your latest blog post, journal entry, comment, chapter of your unfinished book, etc. For reliable results paste at least a few paragraphs (not tweets).

  1. This is a fun exercise. I had done it awhile back with my first Fantasy ms and got Neil Gaiman, and just tried it with my new WIP and got Margaret Atwood ;-)

  2. Hi, Michael!
I've seen this little site before, and it's pretty fun. Today it seems I write like Margaret Mitchell. Do you suppose that's because I'm writing a historical fiction novel set in 1867? :D

  3. I love this little app. I did it a while back and now I can't remember who I wrote like. I guess I will have to do it again:)

  4. I find that it all depends on the project. The MG I'm working on drew a *groan* Stephanie Meyer answer!

  5. Apparently I write like Stephanie Meyer. Who the heck is Stephanie Meyer. I was hoping for Faulkner.

  6. If I would have gotten Stephanie Meyer I would have never heard the end of it at my house where, according to the 16 year old girl, "Twilight is awesome man." My sincere regrets Angela and B & B.
